Family Services
CAFS provides a range of services to support and strengthen families. The largest group of these services is funded by the State government as components of family support services, to be known as Integrated Family Services from April 2007. These include the Family Support Innovation projects, Child FIRST, Parenting Assessment and Skill Development Serviceand Intensive Family Service.
Specific services for families with infants and young children are delivered from CAFS Early Childhood Parenting Centre.
The Commonwealth funded Children's Contact Service facilitates contact visits between children and their non-resident parents where the Family court may be involved.
People interested in volunteering to meet and mentor one of our local families and become family friends may train as Family Mentors.
