Families First works with families and children in the following situations where:
- where children are assessed by Child Protection Services as being at high risk of requiring placement out of their home
- where children in out of home placements are to be reunified with their parents.
Families First is available for extended hours to ensure the safety of children involved. This intensive involvement is for a period of 6-8 weeks.
Referrals are only received through Child Protection Services.
