If staff do not have enough meaningful work to provide them with their total contracted hours, there are a number of options available, including:

  • Redeployment to another program area/team where assistance is required and where knowledge, skills and competencies align – whether that be in the office or working from home;
  • Working from home hours for a portion of work hours and taking leave (paid or unpaid) for the remaining hours;
  • Taking paid or unpaid leave.
