To celebrate NAIDOC Week 2020, we have some wonderful items available for purchase in a very special Cafs silent auction.
All proceeds raised will go to an Aboriginal Child Safety initiative/organisation.

Artist -
Darmon Holloway
Barwoo Incorporated

Darmon Holloway is a Yorta Yorta/Barkinja man from Victoria and has lived on Wathawurrung Country since he was a child.

He was given the traditional name of "Barwoo" meaning pelican by elders -this is his signature on his artwork.
His art is based on traditional methods and uses only ochre based acrylic colours that still represents what comes from the earth.
He is also a traditional toolmaker.
Some of his recent pieces have been a message stick for St Aloysius PS, digging sticks, spear and a shield.

Darmon has been an artist for over 30 years, and before 1997 sold his work through the Old Wool Shed (now the Mill Market).
Since then he has only done work for family and friends as a hobby and to relax, he is a committed family man.

Darmon has been inspired more recently to get back to his artwork and has taken on interest to exhibit more of his works.
