Our People

Connected, Caring and Community-Driven

The strength of our services starts with our people – the heart behind the promise.

Every service we offer is strengthened by the dedication, experience and empathy of our people, and we are deeply connected to the communities we serve.

For 160 years, we’ve stood beside the people of our region. We welcome collaboration, accountability & innovation, & we find sharing our local level of support very rewarding.

Our people are the heart of everything we do.

With a team of over 300 dedicated professionals working across Ballarat, Moorabool, Hepburn, and Ararat, we’re united by a shared commitment to supporting individuals and families in our community.

Every member of our team plays a vital role in delivering services that are compassionate, inclusive and aligned with our core values: Respect, Integrity, Collaboration, Kindness, and Innovation.

We’re motivated by the work we do and the people who make it possible.

Cafs Board & Leadership Teams

We know the Central Highlands.
We call it home.

160 years of local care, built by people who call this place home.

At Cafs, we’re not a national organisation with a distant head office. We’re local, independent and an active part of the Central Highlands region of Victoria. From Ballarat to Bacchus Marsh, Ararat to Daylesford, our team is part of the communities we support. That’s why our approach is truly place-based – shaped by lived experience, local knowledge and genuine care.

Our commitment to community

Everyone belongs here at Cafs

Our strength is in the diverse voices, backgrounds and stories that make up the Cafs team.

Cafs is committed to inclusion, equity and cultural safety. Our team reflects the diversity of our region – including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, LGBTIQA+ communities and people from all cultural and linguistic backgrounds. The voices of our team help shape our culture through dedicated working groups and open access to leadership.

When people feel safe and valued, they thrive – and that’s how we build stronger outcomes together.

Our culture

A commitment that cares from the inside out

The way we work says everything about who we are.

  • We listen.
  • We support.
  • We collaborate.

That’s what makes our services impactful and our workplace feel like a community. It’s genuine care in action.

Culture isn’t a poster on our wall. It’s how we show up every day. Our people lead with integrity, passion & purpose.
