We’ll bring the support.

We’re here for students who care deeply, listen openly and want to do good work that matters.

We welcome students who are driven by more than just gaining hours. They’re here to learn, contribute and grow in a real-world, values-led environment. That’s why we support placements that empower future practitioners who share our commitment to community wellbeing.

We look for students who are:

  • Eager to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives
  • Open to learning from trauma-informed, culturally safe practice
  • Reflective, respectful and collaborative in team settings
  • Committed to integrity, growth and professional standards

As a recent counselling graduate, my placement at Cafs was an invaluable experience. I was fortunate enough to secure a counselling role within the team directly after completing my placement, which I think is a testament to the incredibly supportive and enriching environment Cafs cultivate.

My placement at Cafs within The Orange Door was a rewarding experience that deepened my skills and confidence. The team was supportive through my placement and encouraging with the transition into employment, a year later I have been successful in advancing up a level as a Child Wellbeing Practitioner. I’m now proud to be part of the SIT and triage team, continuing to grow and support families.
